Zelda - Phantom Hourglass Background
The first Nintendo DS Zelda game, The Phantom Hourglass, was first announced at the 2006 Game Developers Conference. From trailers, it's been revealed that the game will make use of the DS features, such as a dual screen and interactive touch-screen components to the game. For example, it's been shown that a "path" for Link's boomerang can be drawn with the stylus for the Nintendo DS prior to throwing it. Zelda - The Phantom Hourglass is stated for a late 2006 release date.
Zelda - Phantom Hourglass Story
Not many specific Phantom Hourglass details have been leaked, but there have been some confirmations. For example, we know that it's an official, direct sequel to the Gamecube Zelda - The Wind Waker game. Link and his companions go on a quest at sea to find a new homeland, and encounter a mysterious abanonded ship. It's been stated that Ganondorf will likely not return in the Phantom Hourglass, so expect a new and exciting nemesis!
