The Legend of Zelda Background



The Legend of Zelda for the Nintendo Entertainement system was not only the first Zelda game made, but also one of the very first epic adventure video games to be created. The epic nature of The Legend of Zelda combined with the great gameplay made it an instant hit. At the time, The Legend of Zelda was not meant to be part of a series, but instead, simply a stand-alone game. The success it managed to achieve lead Nintendo to create the Legend of Zelda series, which we all know and love.
